Here's an experiment: I just composed a set of slides for a short lecture on psychopathology I'll be giving next week. I am new to the Google Docs Presentation software, but hey, it works great! See above. Comments welcome.
As to the presentation/lecture I will be giving: The bottom line is that there's a new era coming (none too soon!) with the next edition of the Diagnostic Statistical Manual (DSM-V will be out in a few years). The current state of affairs is not so hot... too many diagnoses, with too much overlap and confusion, and minimal clinical utility. We need to shift to another model, based on underlying dimensions of behavioral, emotional, and cognitive problems.
