Image by suzukik via FlickrAll this blogging, and creating blogs, and tending them, is really time-consuming! All of a sudden, I find myself with three blogs. One of them, of course, is this one, and it's hosted through the Blogger (Google) people. And another one is the one I call my "archive" site, and I set it up on an entirely different blogging place (WordPress), because they will let you set up "pages" where you can put stuff, and you can also put a list of your "pages" on the home page of your blog. That's what I wanted to do, but Blogger wouldn't let me. So the archive site has a bunch of my writing, organized and edited a bit, so it is not just all scattered in old posts on this blog. If you haven't already seen it, you can click here to get there. And then I realized I needed some kind of web site for my private practice. And I wanted to have "pages," and I also wanted to have one of those Amazon bookstore widgets, like I have on this blog. But Word Press won't let me have the Amazon widget, and Blogger won't let me have "pages." So: I went to TypePad. I started a whole new blog (here), with the TypePad people (and I must say, that TypePad dashboard thing is hard to learn, not nearly as easy as Blogger and WordPress... plus, it costs money! These other ones are free!).
All this stuff has left me with little to talk (and blog) about... except, blogging itself... and that seems a bit crazy. I'm going to pry myself off of this computer now, and go get my hair cut, and then go to the post office to see if anyone has sent me any money, and then go talk with a graduate student who I'll be supervising, next semester, at the Kansas City Free Health Clinic. She and I will be co-leading a Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy group for the patients at the Clinic. And that'll be good.
