Here’s one of the daily quotes I received today from the Gaia quotes people:
No end, no end to the journey
no end, no end never
become the sky
take an axe to the prison wall,
escape
walk out like someone
suddenly born into color
do it now.
~ Rumi
The weather is shifting around erratically in Kansas City: Yesterday it was gorgeous, warm, and windy, with clouds streaming through blue sky, and in late afternoon some rain came and, in the night, thunder. This morning it’s gray, windy and dry, and cold. In my heart/mind, too, and my body, shifting and streaming emotions and thoughts and sensations. There is no other axe to use against the prison wall(s) except clear, compassionate attention. "Become the sky..."
Yesterday the Sisters of St. Joseph threw one wonderful party at St. Joseph’s Hospital. It was great to see some old friends (and the spaghetti was good, too!). I hope the sisters took in a great big haul; they need it, and they certainly deserve it.
