This statue is in the "upstairs walking room" at the Insight Meditation Society in Barre. Anyone sitting a retreat at IMS will see her, and likely will walk in meditation for hours under her compassionate gaze.
This particular statue is quite old, maybe 500 years old,
and is thought to have originated in Thailand.
