An article in the NYT today (see "hypocrisy" linked today under del.icio.us, at the left on this page) gives us a blistering analysis of the response EVERYONE in DC has given to the Scooter Libby commutation. It's difficult to read; everyone's ox gets gored in this one. But it's an important reminder to all of us on this Independence Day; if we all began to work harder for the common good, if we slowed down a bit in the endless and debilitating cycle of attacking each other and defending ourselves... what might that bring about in this suffering world?

The Four Seasons Hotel and L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon will not renew their
operating agreement. The restaurant will close June 30.
